Recommendations for Covid-positive people staying in HOME ISOLATION 
  • Save yourself.If there is fatigue or shortness of breath after exercise - rest.In case of sleep, according to  scientific reports the lungs ventilate better in the prone position, or lying on the side than on the back.

  • Drink lots of fluids,especially with elevated temperature or diarrhoea, and in case of persistent nausea or vomiting, contact your doctor.

  • As a rule, all existing medications for chronic diseases should be used, if in doubt, contact your doctor.

  • Monitoring:

    • temperature(measure 2x/div),

    • blood pressure(may be lower thanusually, people taking antihypertensive drugs may use lower doses if BP<120/60mmHg),

    • pulse/heart rate(an increase can be observed, especially during exercise),

    • saturation(using a pulse oximeter, available for purchase on the Internet - optimally > 94%, in people with lung diseases / smoking cigarettes it may be lower). If a pulse oximeter is not available, the number of breaths per minute can be counted. Please provide monitoring parameters when contacting your doctor.

  • In the event of increasing or sudden shortness of breath, high temperature that is difficult to beat, or other disturbing symptoms (persistent vomiting, diarrhea, numbness, swelling of the legs), you should immediately contact your GP, NPL doctor or call 112._cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

  • If possible, do sorespiratory rehabilitation(link to sample exercises -CLICK) - the simplest is to blow bubbles into a glass of water through a straw, do this activity longer and more often.
